Image used: CH-598-I, Gimme! (Dragon clutching shield)
Card: Dark blue cardstock folded to measure 6-3/4" by 4-3/4."
First mat: Cut 1/4" smaller than card all the way around. I used Tuscany
crackled scrapbook paper.
Frame: Same dark blue cardstock as card. You will want about a 1/8" border from
the first mat along both sides and the bottom, and a 1" border at the top. Punch
corners with your favorite corner punch that will allow you to insert the top
mat.
Top mat: Cat to approx. 4-1/2" tall by 3-1/2" wide. Trim to slip into corners if
necessary. I used paper from DCWAV Once Upon A Time card stack.
Dragon: Stamped dragon on white paper with
VersaMark Ink. Applied detail black embossing powder and
heat set. Painted with Radiant Pearl paints, covered with clear embossing powder
and heat set again. Cut out pieces to enable me to form it around the shield.
Applied with
Pop
Up Glue Dots in two sizes to layer pieces.
Shield, sword and mask: all Non Sequitur (Plate 71, Winter Solstice). Sword and
shield stamped with
VersaMark Ink, then embossed lightly with several colors
of embossing powder (most from Stampworks) in golds and platinum. The sword is
mostly golds on the blade and platinum and light gold on the handle. Edged sword
and shield with a black marker to define them, then attached to the card with
glue dot pieces.
Mask: Rolled out a thin strip of black polymer clay, then stamped the mask into
the clay. Lightly painted areas of mask with embossing solution then lightly
brushed on some pearl-ex in gold with copper eyes. Placed it on the roller to
shape it slightly then baked in oven per mfg instructions. Applied mask to card
using two large glue dots stacked with a large 3D glue dot at the bottom.
Happy Birthday greetings: Computer printed in 14pt on on vellum. Tore edges and
applied to another neutral color of handmade textured paper, also torn around
edges. Used two small antique colored brads to fasten both pieces of paper
together, then applied with double sided tape to card.
Fibers: Cut three 12" pieces of fiber ribbon, put a larger brown brad through
them in the middle, folded back prongs and then applied a large 3-D glue dot to
attach it to the top of the card.

FA-194-C, Pinned Banner; WS-047-EE, Yarr! Source of other images unknown.
Pirate, cat, and chest stamped with
VersaMark Ink, black detail powder added, heat set,
painted with Radiant Pearls, then clear embossing powder applied and a final
heat set. Parchment and map stamped on cardstock previously distressed using the
following method: Tan cardstock crinkled up, distress ink applied, spritzed with
water, then ironed flat again. Map stamped first with Ancient Page brown ink,
then masked, then stamped the parchment stamp using another shade of Ancient
page. StazOn Dark Brown ink was applied to all the edges. Banner was stamped on
a scrap of leftover distressed paper with Versamark ink, black detail powder
applied and heat set. "Yarr" was stamped onto the banner using the same method.
Wall and bricks were stamped with black ink on white cardstock, and chalked with
brown, grey and black. Clouds were chalked using a stencil edge and blue chalk.
Glitter and colored rhinestones were glued on to the stamped jewels in the
treasure chest. Everything was then attached to the card using
Glue
Pop Dots. This piece was then matted with dark brown
paper edged with decorative scissors. This was then attached to a panel of
blue cardstock. Finally a strip of decorative paper was added to the bottom, and
copper peel-off border stickers were added to finish.

Carousel Scrapbook Pages
Page 1: Everything that is stamped was done the
same way: Versamark Ink, black detail embossing powder, painted with Radiant
Pearls, and finally clear embossing powder. Horses were cut out and
attached with Pop Dots. Blue Strip with squares on borders and
photos were glued to pink swirly border piece that has been trimmed around the
swirls. Blue piece was marked and cut from a border ruler. Thin gold
cord was put on the scallops and small fleur de leur pieces glued to the middle
of each scallop. Top border and horse head were matted, and a length of
bead fringe was added under the swirly pink strip, attached with thick glue
dots, then "pop dotted" to the page.
Page 2: Same technique as Page 1 on everything
except the journal tag. For that, I punched out a carousel horse in pink,
and one in gold. I cut the pole from the gold horse and attached it to the
pink horse. Then I added a Disney Carousel title from a Hot Off The Press
book, covered that with vellum I ran off on the computer. This tag too was
attached with ribbon and pop dots.
Journal tags were made in matching blue paper and matted on black. Gold
peel-off borders were used. Attached to page with ribbon and pop dots.

Egg - Michael Strong Rubber Stamps
Dragon stamped on white cardstock with Versamark ink. Topped with black detail
embossing powder then heat set. Painted with Radiant Pearls. Topped wet paint
with clear embossing powder and heat set. Cut out in sections to fit around the
egg. The egg was stamped on a colorful magazine page with Versamark ink,
sprinkled with gold detail embossing powder and heat set. It was then cut out
around the border and applied to a piece of black cardstock with a gluestick.
The dragon pieces were then attached with pop dots on top of the egg. This
piece was then mounted on a scrap piece of patterned scrapbook paper, and then
that whole combination adhered to another piece of black cardstock for matting
and then to the card itself. Gold peel-off stickers were added as borders.
The caption was printed on colored card stock on the computer, matted using
scraps of the same color combinations as the rest of the card, and bordered with
more gold peel-off stickers.

"Alter Ego"
Images used: AP-022-H, Tiger Cooling Off; CH-188-D, Variegated Ivy.
Source of other images unknown.
Stamped Waterfall in Versamark ink, then added black detail powder and heat set.
Painted with Radiant Pearls then covered with clear detail powder and heat set.
Applied two coats of blue hued 3-D lacquer to water, giving it a 3-D effect. Ivy
was stamped several times in Versamark ink, black detail powder and heat set.
Painted with Radiant Pearls then covered with clear detail powder and heat set.
Applied to card using pop dots. Tiger closest to waterfall was stamped on orange
paper with versamark ink, black detail powder and Heat set. A few highlights
were added with white Radiant Pearls. Attached to card with pop dots. Glittered
tiger was stamped on acetate sheet using StazOn black ink. Then glue and glitter
was applied to the back. After putting ivy around the waterfall as described
above, The acetate sheet was attached to the card with small brads on each
corner. I then applied the rest of the ivy with pop dots on top of the acetate
sheet, and cut around the leaves on the outside. This was then attached to the
dark green mat which previously had corner notches punched out. Three colors of
fibers were wrapped around the notches (black, light green, and eyelash dark
green). This was then applied to light green card. Copper borders and corner
peel off stickers finished the piece.

painting images were stamped with
VersaMark Ink (Tsukineko) and embossed with black detail

VersaMark ink and embossed with black detail powder, then painted

placed on the left and right sides of the grey mat. Pieces of thin
leather cord were strung through eyelets and around a small o-ring
placed behind the shaman. Feathers were attached with glue and
shaman was attached with
Pop
Up Glue Dots. Petroglyph printed strips were created on a
computer using font from Lettering Delights.
